It is important to clean your mold or hearing aid with the tool provided by your hearing care professional.

Use the brush to clean the mold or the hearing aid.

Insert the small "U" shaped metal wire into the hole at the end of the mold. Turn it inside and pull it straight out. Amplification goes through this hole, if it is obstructed, sound is trapped and you will not hear as well or not at all.

You should also put a cleaning product, such as rubbing alcohol, on a tissue or cloth and clean the mold or hearing aid with the moistened part. Note: This will also disinfect the device. Do not immerse it.

If you have an ear mold like this: Hearing aid tip do not use the metal wire. You will need to replace the small filter, either white for a RITE Oticon, Phonak or blue/red for a RITE Sivantos, once a month.
